Veda Links


Those who want to understand veda should read a translation of veda,updanishad and other related articles. It is also essential to listen mantras. Mantras should be pronounced correctly to understand better as the meaning of the mantra is completely depend on how we pronounce it.


Before sharing the links, i would like to share a picture which gives just a right information about Veda and its branches. I got this from "Vedavichara" site. Any one can go and access it from the link i shared below, but for easy access i shared this here.

I liked this very much as it is south indian style and it is clearly audible and also south indain has spent much to learn it, to get perfection in all mantras they practiced it and contributed a lot to veda. I am sorry, if it is hurting north indian, but i am in to the perfection side and i want pure klnowledge, no matter from where i get, this is what i learned from  veda.

Veda Mantra and Shlokas in Kannada



ಓಂ ಸಹ ನಾವವತು । ಸಹ ನೌ ಭುನಕ್ತು । ಸಹವೀರ್ಯಂ ಕರವಾವಹೈ ।
ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ ನಾವಧೀತಮಸ್ತು । ಮಾ ವಿದ್ವಿಷಾವಹೈ ।। ಓಂ ಶಾಂತಿಃ ಶಾಂತಿಃ ಶಾಂತಿಃ ।।


Guru Astakam in Kannada:

Guruastaka is written by the great Sri Sri Sri Adi Shankaracharya, the founder of Advaitha Siddantha.
The Guruastaka convey the message how it is important to have guru to have full knowledge and to know which is good and which is bad. Though it is possible to get knowledge of good or bad without guru, but it is impossible to get true knowledge without guru. And thus it is very important to have right guru to have true knowledge, to give back something good to society, to help humanity.

Asta means 8 in Sanskrit. The Guru Astakam consist of 8 paragraph, each tells that, the humans, can attain wealth, knowledge, fame, follower and many worldly wealth, but how it is important to have guru.
